Getting Started: Understanding Your Health Story

Before our first session, I’ll ask you to complete a few tools that help me get a clear picture of where you are and where you want to go. These include:

  1. Initial Interview Form
    This is a simple questionnaire that covers your health background, lifestyle, and goals.

  2. Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ)
    This online form includes 321 questions to pinpoint symptoms and nutritional imbalances. It’s thorough and takes about 30 minutes to complete, but it gives us a wealth of information to work with.

  3. 3-Day Food and Mood Journal
    You’ll track your meals, beverages, and moods for three days. This helps me understand the connections between what you eat and how you feel, physically and emotionally.

  4. Informed Consent and Disclaimer Forms
    Transparency is key in our work together. These forms clarify my role, scope of practice, and ethical guidelines, so you know exactly what to expect.

Our First Session: Diving Deeper

During our first session, we’ll take a deep dive into your health history and the information you’ve shared in your forms. I’ll ask detailed questions to help us uncover potential root causes of your health challenges. We might explore:

  • Environmental factors, such as whether you grew up near farms or areas with heavy pesticide use.

  • Early life experiences, like your birth type or whether you had colic as a baby.

  • Lifestyle habits, stress levels, and the patterns that have shaped your health.

This isn’t a quick, surface-level discussion. I’ll ask questions you may have never been asked before because understanding your full story is crucial to creating a personalised plan.

Why I Don’t Believe in One-Size-Fits-All

One of the most important things to know about working with me is that I don’t follow a cookie-cutter approach. Your health journey is as unique as you are, and what works for someone else might not work for you.

I also don’t offer quick fixes or fad diets. While those might sound tempting, they rarely lead to lasting results. Instead, we’ll focus on sustainable, long-term changes that support your bio-individual needs. Together, we’ll uncover the root causes of your symptoms and address them with:

  • Nutrient-dense, whole foods tailored to your preferences and needs.

What I don’t do:

  • Diagnose, treat, or cure diseases.

  • Make unproven health claims or use unverified methods.

  • Prescribe cookie-cutter solutions or sell products as a substitute for personalised guidance.
